Rules and Regulations

Dress Code

  • Students are expected to attend the College neatly dressed keeping in mind with approved etiquette.
  • Girls shall attend the college wearing salwar kameez. They shall not come to the college in any other dress.
  • Boys shall attend the college wearing properly ironed and Tucked-in shirt and pant, belts, shoes with socks.
  • Shirts should be buttoned properly. T- Shirts, casual wears, jeans are not allowed. Proper hair grooming and well shaven face is expected.
  • Students are allowed to wear casuals with etiquette only on Friday.

Disciplinary Code

  • Students should bring their Identity Cards everyday and they should be produced anytime when demanded.
  • No student of one class shall enter any other class.
  • Absolute silence should be maintained while moving from classroom to laboratory/ library and while returning.
  • Students are not allowed to sit on the walls or on the steps or staircases.
  • Students are strictly forbidden from writing, scribbling, Painting on the walls, desks, black boards. etc.,
  • Students found damaging, destroying college property shall replace the same at their own cost.
  • Students must identify those who cause damage to the college property and report the same to the Principal immediately.
  • Students should not participate in political/ communal/ religious/film activities.
  • Students found using foul language or behaving rudely towards the staff members or towards fellow students, will be expelled from the college.
  • Students are advised to read notices put on the notice board. Ignorance of any notice thus failing to fulfill with it will not be accepted as an excuse.
  • The students should strictly have driving license and helmet while coming to college in their vehicle.
  • No student should leave the class room during lecture without the permission of the lecturer.
  • Students can meet the Principal at any time other than class hours.
  • Students are advised not to use cell phones inside the class rooms.
  • Students should attend meetings as per instructions, Decency and discipline should be maintained in meetings & conferences.
  • Students are advised not to bring valuable things like ornaments, heavy cahs, electronic gadgets etc. Management is not responsible for any theft of valuables or cash inside/ outside the campus.
  • The Students should follow the rules and regulations that may be issued from time to time.
  • Board and college require REGULAR ATTENDANCE on all working days for both theory and practical.
  • To appear for the Board Examinations, it requires a minimum of 75% of attendance in each semester.
  • Attendance is noted for each period at the commencement of each class.
  • Latecomers will not be admitted in to the class while the class is running.
  • The leave application with the counter signature of the parent/ guardian/ Warden should be submitted in advance or on the first day of his / her return to the college. In case of absence on medical reasons for more than 3 continuous days, the students should produce a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
  • The principal may take appropriate disciplinary action in case of continued violation of leave rules.

Ragging

  • Ragging is strictly prohibited inside the college campus as well as outside the campus.
  • Students involved in ragging will be dismissed from the college

DEFINITION

In this Act unless the context otherwise requires, "ragging" means display of noisy, disorderly conduct, doing anything which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any educational institution and includes.

i. Teasing, abusing of, playing jokes on, or hurting the students.

OR

ii. Asking the student to do or perform something against their willingness.

PROHIBITION OF RAGGING

Ragging within or outside the institution is prohibited.

PENALTY FOR RAGGING

Whoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propages " ragging" with in or outside any educational institution, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to a fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.

DISMISSAL OF STUDENT

Any student violating this rule and involves in any sort of ragging act will be dismissed from the college and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution.

SUSPENSION OF STUDENT

Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions, when every any student complains of ragging to the Head of the educational institution, or to any other person responsible for the management of the educational institution, such head of the educational institution shall inquire into the same immediately and if found true shall suspend the student, who has committed the offence, from the educational institution.

The decision of the Head of the Educational institution or the person responsible for the management of the educational institution that any student has indulged in ragging under subsection (1) shall be final.
